When I was young I loved scuba-diving, but then I changed to paragliding what changed my whole life. I still love both, I just don't practice it anymore by myself. Since 2003 I changed to kitesurfing what unfortunantly is almost impossible to practice in Switzerland, so I'm seriously thinking about starting to fly wingsuite, but just check out this section and you'll see...

Dieser Beitrag ist Flugmodellen der besonderen Art gewidmet und bildet den Grundstein meines langjährigen Projektes "Flying CAM"
Vor rund drei Jahren, las ich irgendwo im Web erinen Artikel über die sog. "Quadrocopter" im Modellflugbereich. Eine Art Helikopter, aber mit vier Rotoren, welche alle horizontal auf der selben Höhe angebracht sind. Damals schien mir insbesondere die Steurungssoftware revolutionär.
Während die kontrollierte Fernsteuerung von herkömmlichen Modellhubschraubern, praktisch nur halbprofessionellen Freaks vorbehalten ist bzw. enormer Überung bedarf, können sich diese Quadrocopter über eine ausgegklügelte Elektronik selbständig austarieren. Die Software kontrolliert die Drehzahl der einzelnen Motoren permament und sorgt dafür, dass der Quadrocopter stets seine Position beibehält. Droht der Pilot die Kontrolle über sein Fluggerät zu verlieren, so lässt er einfach los und der Quadrocopter pendelt sich von selbst in seiner Schwebelage ein.
